Bio and Experience:
Mel has over 30-years of professional lending experience. He has been a professional mortgage associate/broker for over nine years, but began his lending career as a banker. The bulk of his banking career of 28-years was spent at one of Canada's largest banks as a branch manager. Many of his clients followed him as he stepped out on his own and moved to mortgage brokering.

Throughout the years, Mel has processed over 1,700 residential mortgage applications totaling mortgage requests of over $140 million dollars. His success rate at getting approvals and helping clients buy property is well known and respected throughout the industry. Mel is known as the person to call if a client is having trouble getting mortgage approval or requires specialized service and attention. Almost all of our work comes from referrals from previous, satisfied clients. Mel also specializes in helping train mortgage associates and has helped many new people to the industry better service their own clients.

Brokerage:
The Mortgage Innovations brokerage began due to the need for experienced, innovative, honest mortgage experts in the Edmonton, Canadian, and international marketplace. We are very choosy when hiring mortgage associates, and believe that a small company with well developed, experienced people provides for more intelligent and successful financing for our clients. At Mortgage Innovations, everyone works as a team, utilizing the belief that many heads are better than one. We get the job done.

International Financing:
In addition to Canadian residential financing, Mel also helps clients obtain international mortgages in the US and the Dominican Republic. Many of our clients choose to buy an investment or holiday home.

Commercial Financing:
Part of Mortgage Innovations' portfolio of work also includes commercial financing. With mortgage associate Chris Clarke, Mel helps clients with financing for all manner of commercial projects, both in Canada and around the world.
